help with finding rubric

Post by Pauline Ashford »

Could someone help me with rubrics for

Child must win at all costs

Must be best at everything – but once is best puts in no further effort except to maintain status of being best (bright and can achieve this)

Many thanks in advance Pauline

Must win (1): nux-v.,, can not copy text but it reiterates what you have written.
I was thinking of Veratrum
This came up in Reference Works, Jean

Hi Pauline,

Just another thought ... this obvious behaviour may not be the symptom that needs to be repertorised.

For example, this behaviour can occur when a child or person feels inadequate and so compensates by trying to prove to themselves and others that they are ok or 'better'. Once there is nobody left to feel inferior to, they stop the effort.

If this is what happening you may, surprisingly, be needing a remedy from the lack of confidence rubrics.

A different reason may be underpinning this behaviour - understanding the reason for it will lead to the best prescription.

This from MacRep:
Mind; AMBITION; AMBITIOUS (p, 66, 5-30) (67) : Aur-m-n., Lach., Nux-v., Pall., Plat., Verat., acon., aego-p., alum., alum-s., anac., anan., ars., asar., aur., aur-s., bar-s., berb., blatta, bov., calc., camph., caras., carb-an., catha-e., caul., caust., cina, cinis-p., cocain., cocc., coff., coloc., con., culx., cupr., cur., cycl., dros., graph., hydr-ac., kali-c., kola., lac-eq., lac-h., lil-t., lyc., med., mosch., nat-m., nelu., phos., polyst., predn., pter-a., puls., querc-r., ran-b., sars., sil., sol, spig., staph., sulph., tanac., ulm-c., uran.

There is a sub-rubric, which perhaps is what Jean was thinking of:
Mind; AMBITION; AMBITIOUS; Means, employed every possible (SELFISHNESS, EGOISM)(p, 5, 0) (5) : Verat., lyc., nux-v., plat., querc-r.

Peace,
Dale

Many thanks to Roger, Jean and Fran for your answers – they have helped a great deal – and thanks Fran for pointing out the thought that it may belong to the insecurity – I guess this is why I was having trouble repping it as it reeked of the need to prove, belong, gain approval

Thanks again Regards Pauline
