The original question stated that the issue was a tumour but did not say it was cancerous, i.e. had metastasized. Assuming it's a "benign" tumour for which the goal is shrinkage or death, here's my experience with a left side acoustic neuroma.
Brain tumor, described as benign but of a nature to grow, albeit very slowly. Choices presented were to do brain surgery for which there were three routes available for entry to the site (depending on the preference and experience of the surgeon not on the nature of the tumour - strike one against the ConMed system), radiation (Gamma Knife or LINAC at the time, there's now Cyber-Knife, all one time "treatments"), or watch and wait. Lots of pressure on the person to opt for surgery because of her "young" age - c. 45. She resisted and opted for Gamma Knife. After one year, much fallout - i.e. Bell's Palsy for 6 months, neurological damage in the form of trigeminal neuralgia and bouts of disorientation almost like mini-epilepsy not observable for standard tests for epilepsy. Person started a training regimen to run marathons and in five years completed six marathons and c. 30 other shorter length road races. Developed severe hives and stopped running. Went to ConMed for hives which tried to no avail, with the last idea being steroids. Person went to MD homeopath psychiatrist, who, after a few tries, had success with Opium for the hives, Meanwhile, the fallout deficits from the radiation continued. Person continued with the homeopath to address those deeper issues. No ConMed person looked at the whole picture to understand that this person was estrogen dominant in that the person had uterine fibroids (fed by estrogen), fribro-cystic breasts (fed by estrogen), acoustic neuroma (has estrogen receptors). It was the person herself, after much analysis, who came to this conclusion. Meanwhile, the homeopath, combining a search for a constitutional remedy with Reichian psychoanalytic treatment, determined that the person was filled with rage from mistreatment from an early age, possible abuse sexual or maternal emotional abandonment. Get the connection? - estrogen dominant, rage at being abused for being female. After many tries, the homeopath settled on staphysagria, not as the final solution, but as good enough. The homeopathy tried Rad-r and X-ray, even Sol, with no noticeable efficacious results. The person with the tumour and the rage also addressed her eating habits, cutting out all forms of meat and most dairy, except for goat cheese. After 6 or 7 years, the person is able to function reasonably well, with much fewer incidences of face spasm (face pulling to one side severely), face quivering, sensations of spider crawling on face, bouts of disorientation except when triggered by stress or exposure to magnetic vibration (like from spinning car tires when driving, or people driving too fast around her, or challenging weather conditions like driving rain or snow, or even high energy aggressive people physically near to her). It's a very long process. I'm that person.

Re: Mitigating damage from radiation
To tell the truth, I am always amazed when anyone tells me they had a successful experience with Con Med.
I have to wonder about the placebo effect operating there!!!
So sorry for the tragic events in your life

The point is that sometimes it works - sometimes it's just what that person needs, because it's homeopathic to the symptoms. Anything at all can be used homeopathically - even Con Med!! Although they would never see it that way.
