Thoughts on case of 9yo boy

Post by ~Tan~ »

Thank you John,

I had lengthened most of the case from my shorthand late last night and I also see I didn't remove Joe's brother's (Br) names in parts of the case...sorry!
I've written between your questions.
scream and behave AI had migraines....AI meaning 'as if'
days
people
if focus not improved by teenager will prob become more apparent... probably become more apparent
Yes 'Nothing To Note'
CRT...grain storage facility = Name of the Company that is a grain storage facility F works for.
Yes, 'Ears Eyes Nose Throat'. N/S = Nervous System. M/skel = Musculoskeltal. CircN = Circulation...heart, blood supply, lymph.
Eustachian tubes, veins, arteries and the like...M's words ;)
Yes, Joe's weight
School reports are issued at end of school terms to parents to describe how the student is travelling with their studies, attitudes or any other problems at school. A low grade in any one subject may be down around 'D' ('A' being at the high end of the scale) but the report states that while not a high grade of achievement Joe still tries hard regardless. In other words is not put down for having a low grade as being lazy or mentally challenged but is rather encouraged because he still works well. Doing tests/exams he tends to rush ahead and not check his answers which is the teacher's way of expressing why his grade may have been low.
Hep B: First shot frequently given to all infants as soon as practicable after birth, within 24 hours or up to 7dys...I will ask if M knows whether Joe had this during his first hrs but would hope not while he was having his reaction!
The following close to 2 mths of age: DTPa = Diptheria,Tetanus & Pertussin; Hib = Haemophilus influenzae type b; IPV = Inactivated poliomyelitis; 7vPCV = Pneumococcal conjugate.
At 12 mths of age: Meningococcal C; MMR = Measles, Mumps & Rubella.
At 18 mths of age: Chicken Pox
Yes agree and a most likely causation to Joe's poor start in life. M was unable to supply me those details though didn't think Joe had a Vit 'K' shot or other. Possibly anti-emetics but wasn't aware of what had been given :( M only knows that she was on anti-hypertensives but not which ones and doesn't believe she was on anything else? M had been on anti-hypertensives for other 2 children too during pregnancy and they all were so-called 'reflux babies', with Joe being the one to react the worst. So a link to the anti-hypertensives I feel. Was Joe's reaction a result of M's anti-hypertensives or to something that had been administered to the baby within the first 11 hrs such as anti-emetics, anti-convulsants, drug reaction antidote etc is not known.
No. This is the aspect of her nursing background that got in the way. In that she would just brush it off about drugs and say..."just what medicos would normally give"...basically following doctors orders and accepting they knew best in a routine fashion.
A conventional purchased OTC (over the counter) children's wormer. I have to say I didn't ask which one by this stage.
Not keen on tight jeans...avers tight clothes; prefers light weight, soft, satiny clothes or best of all only undies with nothing else!
...and thank you for taking the time to look over the case!

Regards,
Tan.

"Gofman provides strong evidence that medical technology—specifically x-rays, CT scans, and mammography and fluoroscopy devices—are a contributing factor to 75% of new cancers. In… “Radiation from Medical Procedures in the Pathogenesis of Cancer and Ischemic Heart Disease: Dose-Response Studies with Physicians per 100,000 Population”, Gofman shows that as the number of physicians increases in a geographical area along with an increase in the number of x-ray diagnostic tests performed, the rate of cancer and ischemic heart disease also increases."
