Digest Number 586 - Renal failure

Post by Soroush Ebrahimi »

Dear Colleagues

This question came up a few days ago on the Hn site
Hahnemaniacs@yahoogroups.com and I answered the person asking the question
privately as follows:

Dear Colleague

Although the renal failure symptoms are of importance, they are only a part
of the picture.

For you to be able to prescribe the correct remedy, you will need to obtain
a totality of symptoms covering all spheres of the patient's life and
symptoms. (Please refer to the Organon.)

Only by treating the totality of presenting symptoms, can you hope of
effecting some improvement in the patient's life, else if you only tackle
one narrow set of symptoms (e.g. renal failure) you will run a great risk
that you will suppress the symptoms and harm the patient. As such it would
be wrong to use homoeopathic remedies in the allopathic manner. There are
very few specifics and these are only to be used in acutes and NOT chronic
diseases.

Homoeopathy is safe but only in safe and well-trained hands!

I wish you and your patient all the best.

Homoeopath
=======
I have not as yet recvd a reply or any comments from the questioner!

However, I note that there is a line of argument running between Dave &
Rachel.

My position is that if the homoeopathic remedy is not properly selected and
is repeated (if it palliates it will not hold for too long so it will need
to be repeated often), it will lead to supression.

My view is that in such cases a great deal of patient monitoring is needed
and one must keep ones eye on how the patient's symptoms develop and
prescribe (or not) accordingly. With renal failure (unless the patient is
on dialysis machine) one does not have a lot of time.

I would use LM remedies in such a case.

Rgds
Soroush
