Never thought I would be saying this, but----
Here is one moment when progressives on the left will need to join forces with the Tea Party.
This bill is going to be a major nightmare to all of us who are concerned with things like freedom
of choice for our health /food and speech. The FDA profits by getting a bigger green light for its
previous illegal goon squad raids on organic farms and health food stores.
I am sick to my heart on this. But we need to pressure the House to not support this bill and we
have only a brief couple of days to do this. Please call Senators and Representatives ASAP and
begin to pressure them to undo this mess or to pass legislation that will protect our rights.
Point out to them that it has always been big agribuz factory farm and chemical farming, processing
and packaging practices that have caused problems--not the organic producers or small producers or
the small holistics vitamin/mineral producers that have caused the problem. Legislation needs to be
controlling and monitoring those people.

vote today on S.510 - the food Bill. What do you think will happen
when the government controls your food, right down to your own back yard
garden? Is this what you want? If we don't engage in this fight, who
will? This is what it means to be a tea party activist. This vote is
scheduled for final vote THIS MORNING!!!

We've been telling you about S. 510 that will
increase 10 fold the power of the FDA. Higher taxes for people. Higher
food
prices through the roof. FDA can unilaterally order food recalls. This
is not
China. We have the safest food production in the world. This Bill,
like the
Health Care Bill, will destroy what we take for granted........Food!
Monsanto
(the agriculture company) will benefit. FDA Deputy Commissioner used to
work
for Monsanto. Monsanto likes this Bill. People have to connect the
dots.
