We must exercise caution not to become too allopathic
in our approach. Isolating and identifying different
'diseases' suggests an unhealthy preoccupation with
blending homeopathy and allopathy. The nonphysical
projects the physical, there is one total picture -
do not complicate it, lest we become fools in our own
wisdom.

not accompanied by locations, sensations, modifications and concomitants.
What kind of chorea is the patient suffering from? A Cimic kind, an Ign
kind, or a Stram kind, etc. Disease titles like headache or gastritis are
useless allopathic terms by themselves.
Hahnemann was very clear that there are exciting and fundamental causes,
acute and chronic diseases, disease of a unique individual nature,
collective disorders of common cause and similar symptoms that make up
singular miasms, miasms in layers of suspension and activity, and complex
diseases where more than one miasm is active. These categories of disease
states, however, have little to do with the allopathic schools concepts of
disease. Nevertheless, it is important to understand each of these disease
states and their appropriate case management strategies from the
homoeopathic point of veiw. For example, James Kent spoke of the importance
of not mixing the symptoms of acute and chronic diseases all together in
one grand totality.
"It is important to avoid getting confused by two disease images that
may exist in the body at the same time. A chronic patient, for instance,
may be suffering from an acute disease and the physician on being called
may think that it is necessary to take the totality of the symptoms; but if
he should do that in an acute disease, mixing both the chronic and acute
symptoms together, he will become confused and will not find the right remedy."
Lectures on Homœopathic Philosophy, James Kent, Examination of the
Patient (Continued), page 204.
Although some one-sided constitutional prescribers wish to always use
all the symptoms (traumatic, acute, chronic,, etc) in one grand totality
this was not the way that Hahnemann, Boenninghausen or Kent practiced. To
use the terms and method as introduced in the Organon, Chronic Diseases and
Lesser Writings of Hahnemann is not mixing allopathy with homeopathy. We
have our own homoeopathic philosophy and pathology which is far superior to
the orthodox school.
