Dear friends,
My dentist at the dental clinic/school where I am having my teeth fixed is insisting that I use a fluoride tray every 3 months during treatment (or she will not treat me â€" says it is malpractice.) I am resistant as I have been avoiding fluoride for many yrs now. Supposedly with fluorite tray, not much of the fluoride is swallowed - although she wants me to ingest fluorite too â€" plus prescription toothpaste with fluoride!
Does anyone have experience & knowledge about dental fluoride trays?
Best,
Lynn, NYC

Re: fluoride trays
I don't know about flouride trays, but I think she is guilty of malpractice for trying to intimidate you into doing
something that you know is damaging to your health. The mouth itself will absorb the flouride. Why would you
want to even consider this.
You might want to look up recent articles discussing the ADA's recent change in thought about using flouride.
Then you will want to look up articles that talk about the uselessness of flouride. There was one great interview
that I listened about 5 o years ago online by a dentist David ??? He talks extensively about the dangers and
uselessness of flouride. Print out some material and give them to your dentist.
But any dentist, doctor or any institutionally protected person who tries to bully me into something is more than
questionable and I would have to think about why I continued to let them work on my body. Keep in mind that
it is your body--not there's, something they often ignore!

Re: fluoride trays
I went to a student at a dental school when I was in college, many years ago. I have been sorry about that decision ever since. Students don't have the experience needed in today's complex health environment. Students only want to please their instructors, so that they will graduate them. Intimidation by a student would give me walking papers.
Flouride for me is a big NO, expecially sodium flouride. The safe flouride is Calc Flouride, as in cell salts.
