from joseph mercola today an article on the growing acceptibility of spiritual aspects of health and healing.
http://articles.mercola.com/sites/artic ... tions.aspx
This article is more food for fodder in homeopathy's argument from the points of view
a) that what was once 'woo woo' is not gaining significant credence, and
b) that 'non-locality' of health is becoming recognized.
May seem a bit tangential, but it seems to me that we need to hook into as broad a base of evidence
and credence as we can. Homeopathy comes out of the tradition of vitalism and needs to stay connected
with the practices of vitalism today.

I also found this really interesting, especially as it got more toward the end. It's somewhat long; I listened while I cleaned the kitchen, did my yoga, put clothes away... And found it quite worth the listen.

Re: another perspective on holistic healing
yes, it is a 50" interview so it requires a bit of attention.
however, the summary is transcribed for quicker reading
i really enjoyed his discussion on the skeptics in segment 4.
it is the same argument that the homeopaths in the UK are
confronting now and we certainly have our denialists here.
Denialist is a much better term to use to describe them.
I really loved the quote Dorssey gave from one of these people,
something to the effect that 'I don't care what you say, I won't believe
it even it IS true!' That is the level of insanity that we are dealing with
in our society today.
Oh, a real funny piece on this idea. On a UK blog a well known
denialist attacks a nobel prize physicist who supports the idea
of homeopathy and tells him that he should study they way he has.
The Denialist had no idea who he was talking to. Dana Ullman
really embarassed him by citing his high level physics credential!
Ooh, the squirming that followed was hysterical.

Ah, the quote was, "That's something that I wouldn't believe even if it were true."
)) Cool to have someone come right out and say it.

It is amazing to me what people with arrogance will say. They do such a good job of putting their
foot in their mouth. The problem is that they can be stupid because their corporate, political and
mass media backers will cover their dumb butts.
