Peyronies Disease

Post by Rochelle Marsden »

Does anyone know of a rubric for this condition when it is an upward bend as I think I found a rubric that could be applicable if it was a downwards bend.
Thanks

I would opt for 'generalities, connective tissue' if you have it more than what direction it takes - might be worth looking or asking if he has fibrosis type sx or connective tissue problems elsewhere in his body, as this is can occur.

Don't know the Rubric but have used sulph iod 30 and sulph 6c daily for 2 different patients and very good.
Quercetin in high doses as well.

Thanks Joy - this is not a patient but a friend and I was just interested. He has psoriatic arthritis controlled by Chinese herbs from a hospital in China and has had plantar fasciitis which could be connected come to think of it as I was reading that this condition can be likened to Dupuytren's.

most definitions do say down
but I have found a number of definitions indicating both:
Medical Definition of Chordee
1. 1. Painful erection of the penis in gonorrhoea or Peyronie's disease, with curvature resulting from lack of distensibility of the corpus cavernosum urethrae. Synonym: gryposis penis, penis lunatus.
2. Ventral curvature of the penis, most apparent on erection, as seen in hypospadias due to congenital shortness of the ventral skin and, on rare occasions, in patients with a normally situated meatus. Origin: Fr. Corded (05 Mar 2000)

If the problem occurs suddently is it necessarily related to gonorrhoea?

Yes it can be linked to Dupuytren's - both connective tissue problems.
