I will think about drainage. That's a good answer. Thanks.

Difficult to answer, shooting in the dark as I do not know the patient.... And there is obviously plenty of things untold.....
Frugal....to what level....there is frugality and there is deficiency....osteoporosis is a deficiency problem, vitamin D or other like C (collagen) and many minerals.
Any history or possibility of toxic exposure, in which case, you know I am a big fan of drainage-detoxification?
I disagree with your genetic concept, although there are clusters of preferred pathologies and behaviours, we are all so mixed that it is not really relevant IMO with some exceptions.
But you say she is Irish, what is she doing in Japan? That on its own might be a very important cultural and social stress factor.......etc............

I'm curious what others think about this part? "She is also very cranky with the sulphur. Forgot to mention that. Get's angry very easily and afraid she is going to inappropriately lose her temper." I would not expect that from simillimum, unless possibly as short-term aggravation or adjustment?

We don't know the full case so it is impossible to know. You can only 'expect' from the simillimum to be based on the totality of the case and that includes ROS as well as what you deduce to be the direction of cure.

Hi Joy,
What do you mean by ROS? Nor familar with the term.
The direction of cure is not even there since I am only seeing the increase irritabililty (aggravation?) and the skin aggravation. So far, there is no amelioration. I should probably call her fairly soon and look for possiblle ameliorations. Since skin problems were not in the reported symptoms, they are hard to judge.
Best,
Ellen

Hi Ellen,

If there is aggravation without amelioriation, that would be either a proving, or else, as Dr. Roz said, that the remedy is correct, but her vital force is not strong enough to respond in a healing way. What potency and repetition has she used? (I *think* the second is fairly unusual, isn't it?)

Another way to look at the question: you can consider all of those discharges, *but* then is she discharging her chronic illness -- in which case there ought to also be improvements -- or is she just discharging the irritation caused by a wrong remedy.

I wonder whether LMs or water dose of 6c would have any better effect??

Dear Shannon,
I am using 30c daily the way Grant suggests. But she stopped after a few days because of the aggravation. The aggravation has continued 3 weeks. She has not been taking the remedy.

I don't think it is a proving. She does not seem particularily weak. Just aging.
So you don't think of the skin aggravation as a detox process.
When she pressed into where her liver is, she hurts. That suggests to me (using Japanese hara analysis), her liver is having trouble clearing the toxins. Since this is a telephone patient, I don't know which way her liver is enlarged. Either Charduus Marianus or Chelidonium sound right. I am looking at Dr. ROz's book. I will call her and ask if the hurt is more at the bottom of the rib cage or in the inside curve of the ribs going toward the tip of the sternum.
Thanks,
Ellen

Did the aggravation stop promptly when she stopped the remedy?
Grant did say that *some* people do better with 6c; perhaps she's one?
Maybe having her take a single water dose of 6c, and see whether that calms the agg?
(And some repeating if appropriate.) If it does, then perhaps have her wait and see, or resume dosing if appropriate, and see whether it brings on improvement?

Personally, I would dump Grant and go with what Sam says :-)

30c daily and you are now confused with the case, it is to be expected.

Return of Symptoms - sometimes the client forgets to tell you all you need to know and you do need to know otherwise you could mess up the case. You were ill advised to give 30 c daily if a daily dose was not appropriate.
