Complex diseases

Hello everyone,

You know, a thought occurred to me as I was reading the discussion of
treating the complexity of symptoms with one or more remedies; My thought
connected to this quote from the organon:

Para 250: "In urgent cases, after six, eight or twelve hours, it may already
be revealed to the sharp-sighted medical-art practitioner who accurately
investigates according to the disease state, that he had mis-selected the
medicine last given. The patient's state grows distinctly (even if only
ever-so-slightly) worse from hour to hour, as new symptoms and ailments
arise. In these cases it is not only permitted but the physician is
duty-bound to make good the mistake he has made by selecting and
administering a homoeopathy remedy which is not merely tolerably fitting,
but which is the most appropriate possible for the present disease state
***(i.e. the disease state as it now appears, with the old symptoms that
remain and the new symptoms)****

It seems to me that the above example is not too different than two
dissimilar diseases abiding side by side in one individual; The original
disease that has now been conjoined with the symptoms of an artificial
disease imposed by the remedy.
What is interesting to me is what H. doesn't say here. He doesn't say that
these two diseases should be addressed with two different remedies. He does
say that they should be gathered together in one grand totality, and that
one best fitting remedy should be chosen.

I have to say that perhaps that is why I find H.'s works so awesome! He
seems so meticulous and consistent at repeating what he wanted to get
across at every opportunity and in a myriad of different ways.
What an incredible teacher.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who is participating in this
discussion, it has given me new insights and the opportunity to delve deeper
into this incredible modality called homoeopathy!
