I read this on Joseph Mercola's site a couple of years? ago. It was not particularly new
information. I think thishas to be told to people over and over again to try and break the
bellief inculcated in the public about the dangers of cholesterol. I ususaly try and tell
people that cholesterol is a necessary element in the body: it protects the cell walls
from drying out and cells being damaged and dying. I also note that it is the Big Pharma
corps that keep trying to lower the 'acceptable' level of cholesterol in the body because
it sells billions of dollars of drugs for them since it gets people on drugs for life.
Back in the 1980's the medical schools, at least in the USA, were teaching that all mds
should get every woman over the age of 35 on HRT. Same mythology and same
financial goal. But statins are even better because now they can sell to anyone of
any age, including for children. The childhood obesity issue is not only about diabetes,
but also the scare mongering about heart disease. Solution, of course, is sell drugs, not
deal with diet and rotten food in supermarkets.

The damage done by diabetes is far worse than what metformin *may* do. Been on metformin for 5 years, no B-12 problems in blood level. Doesn't really matter since very easy to take B-12 sublingually, tastes like cherry. Plus metformin has immediate effect on lowering blood glucose, which homeopathic remedy does that??? Metformin is also being used as an anti-aging supplement, off label, because it reduces harmful effects of insulin making the body more sensitive to it.
More exciting is a brand new ALLOPATHIC drug I started on last week. Victoza. Similar to Byetta, the heliomonster saliva based drug and homeopathic remedy,, but works MUCH better. Lowered my blood glucose from 200's to low to mid 100's in a 2 days. I haven't felt this good in years. Yes, there is an unknown risk of thyroid cancer, one rat got it during trials, but that's what you have to endure with allopathic meds. And the co-pay is $120 US/month.
So while I am benefitting greatly from Dr. Ramakrishnan's multiple diabetes remedies (antipsoric, cell salt, diabetes combo) and have seen good general improvements, a very brief "miracle" cure here and there, that improvement is over the longer term. For those whose miasms have progressed since birth over decades, as mine have, how fast do you think they may cease to, if ever? .One does have to go on living and NOT controlling diabetes with wonderful allopathic drugs that work immediately is senseless. Plus, the homoepathic remedies are only as good as the prescriber and finding the right homeopath for your situation is not an easy task. I wasted many years doing so.
Trying to scare people with the dangers of allopathic drugs when homeopathy offers no immediate solution for many life threatening miasmatic chronic conditions is not helpful to both patients and homeopathy.
