Homeo Doctors are allowed to use the title Doctor

National Assembly has not passed any such bill.

No bill is under consideration of Standing Comittee for Health.
Rather a Good News is that STANDING COMMITTEE FOR HEALTH has approved HOMEOPATHIC DRUG ACT.

Dear Members!

Homeopaths can use the title "HOMEOPATHIC DOCTOR" under the approved act of 1965 section 39 (2). That act was approved by the parliament of Pakistan by 2/3 majority.

To change or delete that clause 2/3 majority of the parliament is required that is IMPOSSIBLE. The reason is that this government is itself standing on only one extra vote.

In 43 years of history of homeopathy this type of attacks from group of ALLOPATHIC DOCTORS are not new. No such discussion is made in Standing Committee. It is all disinformation.

Dr. MAS met with Chairman Stnding Committee Dr. Nadeem Ehsan at Lahore on 7th March, 2010 at 6:00 pm. He categorically said "no such bill was under consideration of the STANDING COMMITTEE. It is all media disinformation. Rather we have approved HOMEOPATHIC DRUG ACT". At the same moment, he issued clarification press release to to all print and tele media and said "Homeopathic Doctor can use title under UAH 1965 Section 39(2)."

Parliament is the main and supreme authority. If parliament desires that we homeopaths should not use the title "Doctor" then we will support this decision. Because parliament means the people of Pakistan. If people of Pakistan say, we should not use the title DOCTOR then who we should not protest.

On 14th March in Islamabad, Graduate Homeopathic Medical Association & Gujrat Homeopathic Doctors Community again met with the Chairman Standing Committee to appreciate him on the approval of HOMEOPATHIC DRUG ACT. Again Dr. Nadeem Ehsan clarified that no such proposal to prohibit the use of Homeopathic Doctor was under the consideration of SCH nar still we have anything to discuss in Standing Committee. We have approved Human Transplant Bill. The President will soon sign the bill.

Today, the president has signed the bill to came into effect.
