lymes TB

The lyme person said that in her support group several people have other
people in their families that have lymes. Some got it from mother in utero.
Others believe they got it through sexual relations...NOw, thats a new one.
Anyone ever heard of that? Passing just like a std? Holy cow!

Anyway, her grandmother got TB when her daughter was 17...so it wasn't
transmitted genetically..but maybe some connection that i couldn't explain but
maybe someone else could.

Lyme disease is believed to be transmitted sexually. Our guru on tick born diseases has seen Lyme transmitted via skin abrasions - more specifically, she saw cases in So Texas to have been transmitted during dressing out killed deer. I learned a lot about tick born diseases while trying to treat six dogs infected with various tick diseases. A couple that I knew personally in Houston was a case where Lyme was passed from wife to her husband.

TB does not have to be genetically transmitted, if there is a family h/o TB we should consider that as tubercular miasm-

My professor used to say ( in India - since India has rampant TB of all sorts and relevant here since the patient has toured in India and spent time there) for the differential diagnosis of any disease - 1st consider TB, 2nd consider TB, 3rd consider TB.

I am not sure Lyme's passing like STD -

passing in utero or not, many of the symptoms of lyme's seem to come out of an auto immune reaction to the infection and that immune make up could be inherited and that will be part of the miasmatic picture-

I think you can keep that in mind in your analysis of the case...

but I guess we cannot rule out transmissions by other means and even acquiring it by blood transfusion etc.

During the time we had dogs in Houston dying of Babesia, Erlichia, and Lyme Disease, the CDC stood adamantly by their statement that these diseases were not in Texas -- that these diseases were only in South America (Lyme only in Connecticut); that they were only in the jungles. Yea, Right!! My Golden's immune system was so shot, he could not produce antibodies to show up on bloodwork - even PCR's were uncertain. Autopsy showed that he had both Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and Babesia. Yes, the same Babesia that CDC said we did not have here. They publicize only what they want the public to know.
