I asked the niece what her main complaint was and this is what she said:
A tension in abdomen which seems to cause an electrical impulse that goes
through to her left pelvic bone down to her left ankle bone as well as feeling
going upward of uncontrollable shaking in her ribcage with trouble breathing
accompanied by clammy, shakey hands, heaviness in throat , tension in her
brow, and violent yawning that sometimes dislocates her jaw. I can't find any
rubric which is extension of symptoms going up and down(from abdomen) except
sepia which has "tearing" pains extending up and down..but she said..its not
really a pain..just uncomfortable. Abdominal tension relieved by warm bath and
mildly from drawing her legs up to her stomach. Electrical pains worse in hot
weather, better pressure.
And a headache above left eye which moves to the right...sometimes just to
front of skull...but only when she is alone. When with other people..starts on
the right side. Headache worse in morning.
Blue feeling in morning sometimes
Period cramps; hot and knife-like
Sleeps better in cold, bundled up
Likes to be alone or in small groups of 2 or 3 people
Breathing gets shallow when at doctor's office or in crowds where there is a
lot of excitement
sensation her hair is standing on end
Knee caps slide out of place when pivoting too quickly.
I've looked at direction...both going upward and downward...looking for common
remedies. And at lightening sensation...and sep is in both the up and
down...its not in the electrical. bell is in the upward and electrical but not
the downward. But "internal jerks" has nat c, which is in both asc and des,
as well as puls, and sepia..but not in any high degree. bell is in everything
in higher degree except the downward motion. I wonder if "pinching
internally" might reflect the electrical sensation. Anyway...lots of work
here. If anyone has any suggestions...
She has been in seven car accidents in her life, none her fault...does this
sound like she needs osteopathic, chiropractic, acupuncture kind of help
before homeopathy?

Re: niece
this seems like the direction of some periferal spinal nerve - in this
case Hypericum could help.
Good Luck

Re: niece
probably I would consider Cimicifuga - the depression and electric shock feeling etc. point to it... apart from the electric impulse, the hair standing on end is also like a curren passing thru-
also Mag phos - the spasmodic pains, > warmth
but since there seem to be many clear modalities and clear cut sensations, you can probably work with that and use menstrual history to differentiate as well

A number of rx have these electrical like pains - Saponin (has
headaches and menstrual disorders), likewise Colocynth, Kreos, Conium
(has the trembling of abdomen, a strange sx?) and really many more -
apart from electrical and checking the direction of pains you could
use 'radiating'.
Med, Sanic, Verat have the electric hair but if it is only a sensation
then you have to use that - akin to 'horripilation' and a number of rx
have that sensation.
