I have attached a link to YouTube that contains a video of an interview that I did on the national BBC News channel the same day that the House of Commons Science and Technology committee report was released.
It is not the most brilliant performance, but at least we got to have a say and go head to head with one of our fiercest critics.

When you talk about animals and someone says they respond to their owner's emotional state, someone I knew treated a chicken (don't ask why) but the chicken recovered. Chickens don't have enough brain to respond to your emotional state !

I would disagree with that comment. Only people who don't have
chickens, or who have paid little attention to them, would consider them
not to have intelligence or perception. Having had many of them, and
formed bonds with them, I can tell you that chickens are intelligent and
perceptive. A better example would be wild animals as they have the
fear of us and aren't going to respond in the way of a domestic animal
might.
