I have had time today to type up some of my notes on a lecture I went to
given by Madeleine Evans a few weeks ago. This is the Remedy Oak. It was a
meditatively proved remedy. I thought some of you may be interested to read
it.

Oak - Madeleine Evans
Deals with stress. When people are working too hard. More is being expected
of them. It's for people who are coping but only just. The strain of coping
is telling on them and they are fearful that they won't be able to cope and
it's an ongoing situation. Teachers, Carers.

Like Calc. someone who is fundamentally strong. Workaholics and get burnt
out. Also Ars, Nux Vom, Carc. People who are driven and are successful. They
are used to coping with a stressful life and can't take anymore. (Oak 200
twice a week for heavy periods and they could keep going) An excellent Rx
for the competant woman. Good Rx during menopause and is grounding. For hot
flushes, memory loss and helps the woman cope at a time when their energy is
low and has a heavy load to cope with. Often coping with elderly parents.
They have distressing phone calls, which are depleting.

School children having to work too hard. These are competant children and
conscientious and take on being pushed (Carc.). They take on the stress of
their teachers. They are plodders and carry on.

Acute grief - it affects the heart chakra. Very useful for acute and chronic
grief. (Ign - give 10M). Oak gets Ignatia working and holding better, c.f.
sandlewood for trauma, recent and chronic. Old people do well on Sandalwood.
The grief weights old people down. Oak is also useful as it affects the
physical heart. It relieves palpitations where there is no organic cause.
Headaches from stress. Helps people to cope - not with anxiety but from
rushing around keeping too many threads together c.f. frankincense. With oak
there is no fear.

For stress and anxiety - Frankincense, Buddleia, Arg, Nit, Calc.

Oak is a very grounding for peo0ple who are spaced out. Close to Nat. Mur so
don't give it together. It is a Syphilitic Rx.

People who are living in a state of conflict. If this stops they fall apart.

Polarity - people who have lost their will.

Being struck by lightening and surviving.

Bizarre.

Certainly must tell a lot more about the person imagining the "symptoms"
than about homeopathic properties of the tree.

Lots of Oaks in California. Generally, in their presence, I've felt deep
peace & solidity.
