Re: Like cures Like!!!!!
This method, of building tolerance by beginning with minute doses of the problem substance and gradually increasing them, is quite old. Certain kinds of practitioners in allergy have used it for many decades. (In relation to inorganic poisons such as arsenic, it's been used for thousands of years by those who feared assassination by poison.) But it in no sense resembles a cure, as it simply builds tolerance to a specific substance and doesn't address any broader (and related) health matters.
This tolerance-building doesn't resemble homoeopathy all that closely, because it doesn't address the patient's symptoms at all and certainly doesn't do so via symptom similarity. It's probably more closely affiliated, philosophically, with vaccination. Seeking to use problematic items to inure the body to larger assaults by those same items could sum up both kinds of intervention, though one is more simple and innocent and less lucrative and inherently corrupting than the other. What effect it has in the long term on the immune system would be of interest to know, but it's likely to be less insidious than the effects of overstimulating via direct injection of toxic foreign proteins and stray DNA molecules.
Cheers!
