retinal detachment surgery

Post by Victoria Mashevsky »

Dear All!
I just got from friend’s house and am trying my best to answer their
question. Short version – the guy in his early 50-s started seeing
“bubble” in the corner of the eye, went to local (US) doc, was
diagnosed with retinal detachment. Has no insurance. Did retinal
detachment surgery in Mexico. Wants to know what he can do
“homeopathically” to promote healing. At this point I’m only thinking
“cell salts” since he was always reluctant to do in-depth eval., even
when he knew I needed patients for school clinic.
I did ask him how he feels now – he is one of those “ragged” types -
says he feels “fine”. Pressure in the eye – as it should, since part
of surgery is to leave a bubble in the eye to keep retina attached.
The bubble should be there for 3 weeks.
Appreciate your feedback,
Victoria
