Mirena iud

Post by Carolyn Pellow »

I'd be interested to know if anyone has had experience of treating a patient who is fitted with a Mirena iud.

Many thanks

Yes lots of times. I treat them as usual but explain that I can't deal with any menstrual/hormonal problems until/unless it is removed . The remedies still work fine.

Hi Carolyn
Many times and I tend to mostly use LM potencies in water to act 'underneath' the artifical hormones. I try to encourage them to think of alternatives but respect their choice. A great many have needed Folliculinum during their treatment, but this remedy as well as any others indicated have been effective.
Hope this helps.

thanks for helpful comments Sue. Were you treating menstrual problems in patients with this iud? My patient decided to have one fitted after she had begun treatment with me so I'm battling with a maintaining cause. My research has shown that this iud produces the same symptoms of side effects that she is experiencing. I've pointed this out to her but her choice, which I respect, is to put up with the symptoms and suppress the menstrual bleeding. Guess there's little I can do until/unless she decides to have it removed?
