Natrum Mur

Hi,

My homeopath told me that I have a Natrum Mur personality. I am also very prone to mouth related problems eg. sore throat, mouth and tongue ulcers, I was prescribed 'Mercurias 30x' for that purpose. (for onset of mouth ulcers).

Can I put these two remedies in water bottle, succuss and drink throughout the day (for long term health maintenance)? Can these be mixed?

No you should never mix remedies. I get the impression that you have a
homeopath that you can’t talk to, is that correct? If so, I would
strongly advise you to find one that you can discuss your health with.
If you have an acute, while under chronic treatment, then you need to
discuss that with your homeopath so that they can decide what action to
take. You are throwing your money away if you see a homeopath but fail
to communicate fully with them. You shouldn’t be piling in remedies,
whether they be tissue salts (which are at the end of the day
homeopathic remedies), homeopathic remedies, or herbs. It would also be
irresponsible of any list members to tell you to take products. You
need a professional consultation so that healing takes place and no harm
is done. Homeopathy is a very complex subject and can't be learnt
overnight.

Hi Priscilla,
Maybe talk to your homoeopath about it. They should have given you guidelines for when and how to use the remedies - if you use them in a different way, that isn't a fair trial of your homoeopath's expertise. If you have trouble remembering how to use the remedies ask for the guidelines in writing.
There are times to use remedies in water doses and sips during the day, and times when doing that would actually cause unnecessary aggravation. It wouldn't usually be recommended that you mix two remedies together. It is usually best to guage your response to the first dose of a remedy before you repeat it, rather than just assuming that more is better.
It sounds like Mercurias 30x is to be held in reserve in case you get some mouth ulcers, not for taking on a regular basis.
A lot of the Materia Medica used by homoeopaths describing the range of action of remedies was collected from a process known as 'provings'. In this process, the remedy is taken by a person or group of people, in repeated doses until symptoms are provoked - some of the effects are pretty extreme and not necessarily pleasant. If you repeatedly dose with a remedy unwisely you can actually begin the process of proving the remedy, rather than gaining health benefits.

Finding the remedy you need is not only about your personality. Everything else about you must match Nat mur or Merc or something else

The remedy has to match all of your significant symptoms - you don't take one remedy for part and another remedy for part.

You should have a homeopath who is able to find the one remedy and tell you how to take it

You don't mix remedies and you do NOT drink throughout the day.

I do have an online class if you want to know more or there are many books out there.
