Hardly should be used to allow people sleep. tylenol is not a sleeping pill.
Much damage can be done. I know someone who died from using tylenol in an illness.

It is terrible drug, the overdose limit is very small and the effects
of that are dreadful, a complete bleed out - I cannot imagine any
decent homeopath advising this especially to such a young person.

I concur with Sheri (Thanks Sheri for making my reply more complete).
If one needs to get high fever down, best way is with a foot bath and also wiping a damp cloth on the ears, face, hands and back of neck. Need to do this gently for reasons that you do not want the temp to come down quickly.

Again, it isn't the higher fever that causes a convulsion but the sudden rise or sudden fall.
And seizures from fever do not usually do brain damage.

Hi Soroush
I don't even think you need to do that. You don't need to get the fever down................everyone get that programming out of your heads ;-)
see my fever pages and whenever you panic go there and re-read the articles.

Fever is my friend, fever is my friend, fever is my friend

Be grateful your VF can mount a robust defense and robust symptoms. That's how I look at it when I have a fever of 103.5F even as a 50-something adult

What would you advise for the situation--where it's not possible to deal with it during the night, and just looking for respite until morning--would a sleeping pill be better? I know nothing at all about sleeping pills, so this is an honest question...

No a sleeping pill isn't better as more stress on the liver.
Warm bath, warm shower, music, rocking for a child, all those kind of things
