Dear Rochelle, I have given your case the above number for archive purposes.
You didn't tell us what you had already prescribed but I have been thinking
about MAG CARB.
This remedy has a never been well since pregnancy - when the epilepsy began
Ill effects of pregnancy and excess of care and worry (which would include
her more recent stress when the IBS started)
Mag. Carb has epilepsy with consciousness
They are sad, tearful, anxious, shy. They like to be accepted and put value
on their self worth so they are usually very giving and spend much time on
others - the opposite of this is also true and there is the common picture
of children who become aggressive because they are not getting the attention
they feel they deserve.
They do crave milk but are often agg. by it
Lots of colic and diarrhoea - stools are gelatinous, fatty, like putty -
very varied + ineffectual urging
Unrefreshed sleep - always feel tired in the morning
<< evening and night time
Hope this helps.
Best wishes, Joy Lucas

Re: online case RM/May06
Hi Joy,
Thanks I will look up your suggestion. The remedy I prescribed was Calc 30
repeated daily for 5 days because of the Epilim she is on. I felt this was
the nearest to a constitutional I could get to and I still do!! However as I
have said nothing changed and I can tell you it is very rare for me to see
no change at all in a month. The Rx I usually reckon does the best for IBS
is Lycopodium but although she sounded less timid when I saw her this time,
in fact quite confident we do have the "no flatulence" of the case. Last
week she had a bug (lots going around at the moment) with griping pains and
bad headaches and then got diarrhoea. After the bug she was constipated for
3 days and felt fine (Calc). Since then she has been "A little loose" which
she puts down to eating a commercial shepherds pie made from lamb rather
than home made. She likes to please people especially the family. In her
job she is perfectly satisfied with it and would not like anything more
challenging. I did try to elucidate why. It is possibly that she doesn't
want to fail , but this information was with me pushing for an answer. The
other remedy I was looking at was Silica but am not convinced about this one
either.
I have told her to stay off milk as this is what she has a lot of and IMO
may not be helpful to her condition. I have also given her Calc. 200. Is it
possible that the Epilim is completely blocking the action of the Rx? My
attitude is usually that if you hit the right remedy it will act despite.

Rochelle

Hi,
I selected the following rubrics from your case and repd on RADAR.
GENERALS - CONVULSIONS - epileptic - aura - absent
GENERALS - CONVULSIONS - epileptic - after epileptic convulsions;
complaints - headache
MIND - TIDY
MIND - CONSOLATION - agg.
MIND - WEEPING - easily
MIND - WEEPING - emotion, after slight
MIND - TIMIDITY - public; about appearing in - talk in public; to
1.)The result was cupr .
2.)The stress your patient might had in the events referred in your case
forms the favourable ground for this cupr case to firm up. You may read
about this in Scholten's books
some of which are pasted below at the end.
( you wrote;-"There was an Aunt and Uncle who she used to look
after before she went to work and eventually got them into a nursing home
and she had to empty the house. She had a cousin staying which was stressful
. She was only meant to be staying a week or 2 but stayed 6 months until she
wanted the room back for her daughter and husband before they moved. This
cousin watched she wanted on the TV and had a load of furniture in her
room")
3.)Again what her son says or doesn't say of her is strongly suggestive of
Cupr
("I am easy going although my son would not say so because I am always on at
him. )
4.) Their conformation to the rules of behaviour and insisting on others to
follow
the same is a strong element of the cuprums.
(Anger - "I shout if something is not done in the house but I would never
show my anger. I get angry if something hasn't been done fairly.")
5.)Kent's rep mentions only 3 remedies for headache following epileptic
convulsions
Caust, cina and cupr and both cupr and cupr-ars figure out along with ars in
the list of remedies for
CONVULSIONS - epileptic - aura - absent
6.)My preferring the arsenite is also due to the tidiness component of her
case
"vml3 - Cuprum arsenicosum] Cuprum arsenicosum differs from other salts of
copper in that while in their action they all more or less resemble Arsenic,
the Arsenite possesses more of the distinct features of that drug."
Hope this helps, and please let us know if your work out leads to a different
one.

[stj2 - Cuprum muriaticum] Enjoying motherhood.
stj2 - Cuprum aceticum] Protecting people who are deprived
[stj2 - Cuprum aceticum] A variation on this theme is that they want to
offer protection to those who are having a hard time. They feel something
should be done for the hungry or handicapped or deprived in this world.
[stj2 - Cuprum aceticum] Work is hard and stark
[stj2 - Cuprum aceticum] In the final stages they are completely exhausted.
The hardships and exertions often cause cramp in their calves, stomach or
other parts of the body. .
