My husband has been diagnosed with Cyclothymia, and extremely high
cholesterol. He was on an antidepressant. Now he's been treating
himself with Saint John's Wort and a multivitamin/multimineral
supplements, but he's still irritable with mood swings, anxious, prone
to sleeping whenever he can for long periods of time and waking up
tired(which he is all of the time). He has back problems and knee
problems with a loss of appetite all day and then he over eats at the
end of the day, sometimes he doesn't eat at all though. I want to
help him,but I don't know what to do. He does consume alot of
caffiene, could that have something to do with it? Please, if
somebody can help, please do, I would really appreciate it.
Have a nice day,
Robin W.

YES!
So also could continual use of St. John's Wort.
Correct herbal use specifies a 6 week "on" and at least one week "off"
cycle.
BETTER YET.. "get thee to a homeopath"
Homeopathy could very likely help, but is difficult to do properly without
in-person consultation.

Re: Chronic Fatigue?
Hi,
It is very tempting to suggest Nux-m which has in its pathogenesis
both the mood swings and irrestible desire/ overpowering
sleepiness as well as the capricious appetite. The use of all
the other drugs is to be stopped.
However the anti-deppressants are to be continued
for a fairly long time and only tapered under the care of your
allopathic doctor. Even if you are a homeopath, I strongly
suggest that this be placed under the care of a professional
homeopath in your area.
with best wishes,
V.T.Yekkrala.
