Okay, I know one way is to put the remedy in a little vial with a water and
bit of alcohol and have the person smell that.
What about smelling the remedy right out of the container that it comes in? Or
would it be better to put only one pill in cap of vial and have person smell
that way? Or doesn't it work that way?
I have often thought of taking a vial of a remedy that i think someone needs
and dashing it to their nose and saying in a really sweet voice, "do you smell
anything in here?". "are you sure?", "here, try again." , "oh, how about one
more time?" "inhale really deep, I'm sure i thought there was a funny smell
in those pills." I'm only half joking. My old homeopathic doctor once told me
that he had a female client whose husband drank too much(and wouldn't come in
to see the doctor)...and each month she was told by the good doctor to give
him one of the alcoholic remedies in his orange juice. Imagine..orange juice.
And that finally she hit on something and slowly he lost interest in alcohol.
I'm pretty sure he didn't give the remedies quite willy-nilly. He had some
information on the husband. Unethical? Or practical? He also told me about a
suicidal boy and he had the mother put the remedy in the boy's coke. Now he
practiced for 60 years...and he would sometimes intuitively know what remedy
someone needed. He was never quite sure about me. When my mother started
seeing him, she told me, he actually asked her..."is carol, ...um...like...is
she okay?...(you know, like okay in the head). She told him i was fine.
Anyway, i just thought i'd pass on these little homeopathic stories for
posterity as noone i know in my life cares(except the owner of the homeopathic
store..who, when i go there...calls me aside and tells me in conspiratorial
manner...oh, you know, such and such a book has come in, and its really good,
and it only cost 6000. cause only 3 people are going to read it.)...and i
could be gone tommorow.
and now a question about taking remedies in olfactory manner
Re: and now a question about taking remedies in olfactory manner
Yes it can work that way, smelling straight from the bottle if someone
is sensitive to the rx and presumably they are very sensitive
generally as this is one reason why you'd choose olfaction. Over the
years a homeopath will encounter thousands of opportunities for this
to happen when they make up the rx for their clients (I never enjoyed
doing that, for that reason) but I don't think it happens very often -
only if the sensitivity is there. I have had provers use olfaction and
I once unintentionally proved a rx but the only way I think I did this
was by sniffing the rx when licking the envelope with the pills in it
to close it.
Thanks for the stories.
