mycobacterium avium

Post by Rochelle »

I have a new patient coming in - man who I think is elderly thought to have got asbestosis has been diagnosed with mycobacterium avium. He has reacted very badly to 2 or 3 different antibiotics and has been told that they will assess him again in March which is why his family have decided to try homeopathy.
Looking this up on the web it appears to be associated with HIV and AIDs but am pretty sure he has not got these.
Needless to say I am thinking of Tub Av if the symptoms fit but will take a full of cause anyhow.
Anyone treated this? How did you get on?
Regards

It only means he is within the tubercular diathesis and a huge range of remedies might apply, not just Tuberculinum. The so called HIV association is only when people suffering with this are in an immuno compromised state and respiratory/tubercular type sx predominate. Great opportunity. Hope you will get permission to post progress.

Yes I have been looking at Baccillium again to familiarise myself with this one again which I used in the past but not for a while. Just remembered that he also has aspergillosis as well. I think the causation is thought to be asbestos inhalation.

Since his symptoms will be individual to him I will have to wait until he comes in!!! I will then subtract the common symptoms.
