epidemic in the Ukraine

Dear Colleagues

With the scant information that we had on this supposed epidemic, I decided
to rep and so to speak be ready.
We have lungs going in pneumonia, the report said they filled with blood -
so we must expect bloody expectoration and also that on autopsy it showed
that it had turned black (gangrene) and into a mush. I would expect that
under such circumstance and for some time there would be lumpy
expectoration.

Significantly the lungs were reported to be very hot (130 deg F - 55.5 deg
C) - this would be cooking temp!

CHEST - INFLAMMATION - Lungs
CHEST - HEAT - burning
EXPECTORATION - BLOODY

With these three symptoms, we are limited to Puls and Sulph
EXPECTORATION - BLOODY - lumps MAG-C

Expectoration types and colours may perform a critical role.

CHEST - HEMORRHAGE

CHEST - GANGRENE of lungs is another to consider - but neither Puls or Sulph
are listed.

I also came across Sulph-ac and Calc-s which may have application in such an
event.

Hope we do not encounter it!

The 'heat in the lungs' is actually quite a large rubric. You'd have
to consider poisonous conditions as well.

Carbo veg would be an obvious choice; China; Lachesis; Kreosotum
(another obvious choice); wven thought about Anthracinum.

First I have heard of this, getting closer?
