Any suggestions? + update

A quick update: I decided to go with the Pyrogen 30c. Boy do I wish I
could have done some sort of time lapse video on his face! The area
above where the wounds had previously been draining is rapidly forming
into another abscess; it is getting bigger by the minute. It has gone
from just ordinary skin to a big red head atop an area that is swelling
up rapidly. I am not counting my chickens before they hatch, as I have
been at this point before, with remedies giving a rapid reaction and
then no complete healing, but it is at least bringing out more of the
infection. He is also less sleepy and more interested in what is going
on, so hopefully that too is a good sign that I am on the right track.

Well the "abscess" came to a head but it wasn't pus, it was thick
clotted blood! It oozed a small amount over about an hour and now seems
to have stopped. As the adder injects a hemotoxic venom perhaps this is
the residue in the blood discharging??

Here is some info on hemotoxic vemon:

"There are two types of venom in snakes; hemotoxin, and neurotoxin.
Hemotoxins are toxins that destroy red blood cells, can cause organ
degeneration, generalized tissue damage, and can disrupt blood clotting.
An injury from a hemotoxin agent, like a pit viper, can be painful and
leads to permanent damage. Often, a victim can loose a limb or less."

The cat seems very well in himself and is more active than he has been,
so I'll wait and watch to see what happens over night.

This morning it is gently oozing a thin sticky bloody serum - still
quite dark red but not the clotted blood of yesterday. Cat very perky
and not as laid back as he has been: now when one of the dogs is a bit
frisky he gives it a "slapping" instead of just showing indifference.
Since finding him he has been so laid back he was practically falling
over! Normally when bringing a cat into my household full of cats and
dogs they are freaked at first, but within a day you would think that he
had lived here all his life and he was totally indifferent to all of the
fuss going on around his indoor cage. When I started bringing him out
of the cage, and letting him walk around, he integrated immediately, and
strangely even my lot accepted him as though he had always been here.
Perhaps now he might develop a little spirit and the problems will
start.

I'll keep you posted on the wound.

Not sure whether it is a great result yet! The oozing has now stopped
but there is still puffiness underneath so I think I will give another
dose. I am always wary of dosing too much as I have ruined cases in the
past by being over enthusiastic. I think I will wait till later on
today and assess then. If only things were cut and dry with dosing.

have you factored in the cats personality? i know you said you got him recently
but when i have repp'd for my cats i always try to include characteristics.
i have also used animal communicators effectively in getting the subjective
sensations and modalities for a case. fascinating and rewarding to do.

When normally repping for my animals I include change of nature due to
illness, but with this boy I have no idea how he has changed
unfortunately. I have found in the past that trying to include the
characteristics can lead me up a blind alley if it is an animal whose
nature I am not familiar with due to it being a stray.

I am afraid I have totally lost faith in animal communicators after
having seen so many people being given wrong info that has hindered
rather than helped. I prefer to go with what I can see and perceive
myself, offering different choices to figure out modalities such as < or
particular preferences and is happy to have heat or cold on the wound
and heat and cold in the room. No preference for fresh air or distress
from drafts.

With regards to the effect of the Pyrogen, he is much, much more active
and alert. The place that opened up above the wounds is still oozing
some serum.

I managed to find my notes from a previous Adder bite that I treated and
I had totally forgotten that I tried Pyrogen on that one, but though it
showed some improvement, it didn't cure. The improvement was similar in
nature to this little boy, though nowhere near as drastic, with just
some thick red serum/blood oozing from the actual site of the wounds.

I'll update tomorrow.
