mischief at minutus?

Hello all,wondering if I'm the only one this has happened to, I
received 2 odd direct emails from minutus@yahoo.com . One was asking
for confirmation of request for removal from group list (I never made
such a request, I find this a valuable resource) then another one
with the heading "Some Questions" which came with a virus
attachment. anyone happen to know anything about this?

I had the same thing happen. Don't know what's going on, but do know whatever virus is going around is really prolific.

i received the same message with 'some question.' it is the notorious klez virus i am told. yesterday i received about 15 messages from different sources, all with strange subjects. some of them had names similar to people on the minutus list. one even had ardavan's name on it. i opened one by mistake thinking it was from someone i knew--wrong! i finally went to Symantecs site where there is a link to a download program that erases the virus. it didnt take too long to do. the program reported removing a couple of corrupt files. i still am not confident that my machine is completely fixed, but today it is working much better.

the virus seems to scan the e-mail address book and create bogus messages using corrupt versions of names from that list. i also got numerous messages from postmaster and yahoo and mail delivery subsystem, for example.

So have I. Norton Anti Virus Alert programme has picked up all of these. I
wonder whether it is a marketing strategy to sell the anti virus programme!
