sciatica pain in an athlete

Post by Rochelle »

My son's partner is a triathlete and is desperate to run in a race in December. She has just sent me the following symptoms. Now I admit I have not repped it out yet but will do after I have been to my spin and circuit classes this morning. I thought I would put it over to you lot and see what you experienced lot come up with!!

Thanks

Two things at least missing for me - the direction of the pain and her feelings about this pain but with the need to use a massage ball and the initial >> with stretching and a few other sx then Dios comes to mind.

Causation was another aspect I was going to ask about - assuming this is an acute (possibly sciatica) and not something more chronic emanating from within the pelvic area. Joy

Yes as far as I know it is an acute caused by over training!! I don't know how she runs and cycles outside in the heat of Singapore

A few come to mind but since she's been on anti inflammatories does that mean it's been chronic? Anything on her mental/emotional state and history?

Not sure how long she has had it. Despite my Rep I don't think Rhus Tox is right and am just going through Rx now using my bible "Homeopathy for Musculoskeletal healing" Hershoff. Unfortunately Joy's idea of Dios is not there so I will go to Clarke. It will have been caused by over doing it training. M and E ? Don't know very well as they live in Singapore and I am in UK and she is unlikely to tell me being my son's partner:-) She is a happy go lucky woman, always smiling when I have seen her. Very outgoing. Appears confident and single minded about her training.

From Clarke

Looks good Joy!! Have you ever given it in a sciatica. Coloc always works for me!!! I will send her this and see what she says.

Thanks

Yes I have but some of the sx are directly opposite Coloc - Coloc wants to bend forward and Dios wants to stretch backwards for example. But both are quite angry rx. The differences are mostly in the modalities.
