Re: Question about 5th/6th edition dosing was Lousy Homeopaths

Post by Shannon Nelson »

Sheri, I KNOW all that.
That's why I keep sticking in disclaimers such as, "in most cases"; "with most of my folks"; etc. Sorry if I'm not sticking the disclaimers in frequently enough.

I *always* proceed from a "test dose", and I always advise to see (a) what the effect of the first dose is, (b) what symptom is first to be relieved, and (c) how long it takes for relapse to begin, time re-doses accordingly, etc. I do not happen to *have* anyone who needs to have 6c given in dilution cups (tho one has on occasion needed to do it with LMs), but I do of course realize that sometimes it's necessary.

And re whether I have experience treating chronic cases, yes, it is most of what I have been doing. I fully realize that "just friends and family" is a very small sample size--which is *exactly* the reason I have made a point of mentioning it. So thanks for pointing that out again.

I realize you just hate to give me credit for any sort of competence or understanding at all, but please, I have repeatedly *said* that I understand and do these things, but honestly I can't repeat all of it every time. Maybe we'd better just move on...

Thanks,
Shannon

[ Sound of tiny violins, playing sadly in the distance... ] ;-)
But, um, did either of you miss the fact that I *do* use "water posology"? (And yes I know Sheri doesn't believe I actually know how to...)
Oh well, over and out.

Sorry, I had tried to answer your questions, and would have offered more, but you didn't ask. But that's enough... If you want to help *me*, we could try it privately, tho really I do feel I'm doing alright. if you want to make sure that good instruction is here on the list, for any who feel the need, then please do add what you feel needs to be added, and I and others will read it with appreciation. But I don't feel this personal "you don't know what you're doing," and "oh yes I do" exchange is benefitting anyone. Thanks for trying, tho.

Yes I defend dry doses, and none of that interests you, so c'est la vie, let's move on.

But should anyone be treating a serious enough condition where they
cannot give close supervision not over their prescription choices but
obviously the client as well. How difficult can a situation be whereby
water posology cannot be used?

1) cow who lives out in a field (case described previously)
2) calf who lives in a barn, but I am living out in a field--okay, kidding. But I *had* the rx in 10M, didn't have it in LMs. And I don't fancy counting drops and tsps into a calf, and if I don't need to!!!!!! You have your ways of having fun, and mine are evidently different.
3) PTSD cat, would not let me get close--until after single dose high of stram, after which he needed nothing more. (Why take the hard path, when the easy one works better--and again, obviously, I mean for SOME cases, not all.)
4) busy and uninterested family members

Is any of this sounding familiar?

In what way familiar? Are these acutes? I thought the case that involved a cow was olfaction. Perhaps some other case. Too busy and uninterested, well did they actually want homeopathy - that is not at all familiar, i.e. treating people who don't want to be, with homeopathy?

My post was actually quite a general one (not specifically asking you), albeit of a serious nature. If you cannot give supervision then I think this is irresponsible and smacks of the 'watch and wait' approach that a lot of homeopaths adopt with dry dosing and dry repeat dosing but the actual waiting goes on for weeks with poor communication. Not good imo

Well...
got this one day.

Second hip surgery for a woman whose husband is a MD.
First hip I gave her remedies to help with the afer surgery to be taken in
water....

Seconde surgery she ask again my help but said
"anything in granules but not in water I can't deal with that".

Well she took in dry doses for the second surgery.
First thing I heard from her husband in front of everybody was,
We may not know how homeopathy works but it works
I have seen with my wife second surgery, so different from the first !!!
True, she began right before surgery.

Ok in that case they deal better with dry doses.....for them !!!!

Individualization ??????

Oh the comfort of feeling safe with a person.

Having neither to weigh thoughts, nor measure words,

But~

Pouring them all right out~ just as they are~

Chaff and grain together…

Certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them…

Keep what is worth keeping,

And

With a breath of kindness, Blow the rest away!

It's okay, Joy, I've got it all pretty well covered...

No, none are acutes. (The cat was trauma causing life-threatening injuries plus ramping up of the preexisting, chronic state, so both acute and chronic. The others were chronic.)

I think the major sticking point here is the difference between high potency / single dose prescribing, and low / LM prescribing. You guys aren't comfortable or experienced with the high/single approach; I am.

Yes the cow was by olfaction; it was also single dose / high, done by watch-and-wait, 4th ed method. I agree that adequate communication is hugely important, and I assure you it can be easily combined with 4th ed method, and that I certainly always do so. If you don't believe me that's okay, I don't mind. :-)

Jennifer, what a beautiful piece! Is that your own, or if not, where
from? I love it! (And what a lovely image, and message.)
