Has anyone successfully rid their dog of a mature case of heartworms without using the poisons of the allopathic veterinary field?
This seems to be a pretty serious problem, and I'd like to know going in, if there is any hope for exclusive homeopathic treatment for this. How about anti-parasitical herbs? I know that detox from all the dead and dying worms is going to be an issue....

Years ago I successfully treated my Lab using black walnut tincture plus a few other supplements I no longer recall. Now I think I'd use the heartworm nosode.

How long did it take to see changes in symptoms, and returned vitality of dog? Did dog have any herxheimer - worm dyeoff / toxicity that you had to deal with ?
I appreciate this. I've been reading a lot of heart worm prevention stuff using Colostrum to boost their overall immune system... but a mature case of heartworm, and prevention is different, so I appreciate this report.
Any other successful cases, I'd be interested in.

I'm not sure how mature the case was -- the vet found only a single heartworm on ultrasound, and the dog never developed a heartworm cough. I don't recall any problems with worm die-off. As for his vitality, it was always good, until three years later when he developed lymphoma and had to be treated for that homeopathically.
Years before I'd had a Ridgeback who was treated conventionally for heartworm. I would never put a dog through that again! He did not do well with the total lack of activity required for six weeks, as I recall, post-treatment.
