medical advice? Aspartame

Post by John Harvey »

Hi, Soroush --

You seem, as usual, very certain of your facts; in this case, I'm unable to see why you attribute all six of Carol's symptoms to aspartame. Of those she describes -- burning perspiration, burning medially on forearms, tickling on foot, burning heat in chest, dizziness upon turning head and while lying after waking, and fear of a heart attack -- I see only one in either list of symptoms on those sites you give (or the site that Liz gave), and that in only the most general terms (unless you're counting a tickle as a paraesthesia): dizziness. Are the other symptoms too listed there somewhere?

Thanks --

John

Anyone would do well to eliminate aspartame from their diet but these sx do suggest some rx as well. As diabetes is in the background as well (I believe there is a strong link with aspartame and diabetes) then treating now would be advantageous if sx persist.

Dear John
Aspartame causes a great deal of strange symptoms.
If you fancy learning more, read Dr Roberts' book called ASPARTAME DISEASE.
In any case, a period of abstaining from Aspartame, will show whether I am right or not. Some symptoms clear off fairly quickly.
The damn thing even induces diabetes.

Dear Joy
When I suspect or know of aspartame involvement, I always wait a few weeks before I take the case on which I would prescribe.
Head pain sensations, vertigo, joint pains, skin problems, general ill feeling to do with sugar imbalance disappear reasonably quickly.

I wouldn't wait that long or at all if it were more threatening, say a heart attack or such like. You would want to make that assessment or urgency at least.

Of course Joy - if there is urgency (pain, danger) one would not wait!
