Single Simple Remedy
Re: Single Simple Remedy
Just to turn this around a bit - why should the carcinosin rx be made from more than one source - it shouldn't be as there is no need for it.

Not everyone uses the '1' substance - (see the list Lynn provided) but if they did, what's the problem then?

Re: Single Simple Remedy
I am not saying there is any problem providing they have been proved. Basically they are mixing a number of tumours and then potentising them.
This leads to a single SIMPLE substance! But can we get John to agree?

No it doesn't mean this or what I was saying. I said that there is no need for the Carc rx to be a mixture, a single substance would suffice. Goodness knows why there are so many (most of them being mixtures) and I don't think they have all been proved.
Maybe it is the nature of the rx that brings this about - contradictory and alternating states that are constantly changing - that has set up a disconcerting need for there to be umpteen versions. What other rx have been produced under these strange terms, i.e. different versions. What is the point behind this?

Dear Joy
I do not know the exact reasoning and whether they proved the potentised mix.
Perhaps one should ask John Morgan.

Re: Single Simple Remedy
With respect to Sheilagh Creasy, she is the great bastion of **Kentian** homoeopathy. Kent's definition of "simple substance" as per his Lectures and his use of ultra high Centesimal dry potencies was based on his religious beliefs emanating from the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg. Kent attempted to make several correspondences between the application of Homoeopathy and Swedenborg's teachings - especially with respect to potentization, size and quantity of the dose, and a hierarchy of symptoms which placed top priority on mental/emotional characteristics in the case.
As we ALL know, Kent differed from Hahnemann in some important respects.
Best to go to the source material for clarity on the term "simple substance", which is Hahnemann, not Swedenborg.
Chris.

Re: Single Simple Remedy
Just answer the question I asked you:
Do you accept that the Carcinocin remedy which is made up of a number of cancer tumours which have been potentised is a single simple remedy?
To clarify:
The remedy Carcinosin is made from a single breast tumour.
The remedy Carcinsosin Co. is made from a mixture of tumours, from different sites.

Re: Single Simple Remedy
As someone new to this site I am amazed at the subject of this discussion. Are you all homeopaths? Why do you put such importance on Sheilagh Creasey and Kent? Can't you think for yourselves? Why is it even important if Carc is from a single substance or not, for the purposes of this forum? Surely this is a matter for the pharmacists? Or are you making your own remedies, as Hahnemann suggested we should? Can you not think of a more meaningful disscussion than this as homeopaths? Maybe you need some Sulphur?!?

Dear Paltmann
Thank you for your on line prescription!
The discussion is about the nature of remedies and is a philosophical exchange.
Best wishes.
