I was asked to go into more detail about this rubric by a few people. I
recently had a case which will give a good example of the use of this
rubric.
6 weeks ago I had a child brought to me in a wheelchair. His mother had
lupus during pregnancy. This cause clotting of the blood through the
umbillical cord and she was therefore on anti-coagulants through the
pregnancy. She went into labour a month early and had an emergency section.
The baby was llb 15oz. He was on a ventillator continuous antibiotics and
steroids and nearly died 3 times. He also contracted MRSA, had a collapsed
lung bi-lateral hernia. A very strong Vital Force allowed this child to
come through all this and was brought to see me.
He was brought for enlarged glands and catarrh which was causing much
snoring at night.
The problems now are a subglotic stenosis. Which collapses and needs urgent
treatment with steroids. This is because of being on the ventillator.
Spastic Diplegia. One hip is dislocated and is going in and out. Refusal to
get out of the wheelchair and stand or attempt to walk although it is
possible. Prefers to crawl.
On coming into the room he would not look at me but instead averted my gaze.
When mum started to talk there were constant interruptions. I eventually
turned the wheelchair and started to talk to him with which for a child who
had been so vocal he immediately clammed up. For this I took the rubric
Sensitive to the Light and Timidity Bashful. Whilst mum was speaking he was
not the focus of attention and kept putting in his own comments but as soon
as I focused on him entirely he clammed up. I asked mum how he reacts when
the focus of attention and she said that you cannot praise him he gets
really angry, so for instance at school if they say he has done good work he
will get annoyed and cry. The rubric for this is Rage in the Sunshine.
I continued talking to mum whilst he started to make a fuss about a small
scab on his arm. Saying how he had fell over and hurt himself and it was
bleeding. I looked at the scab which was miniscule and asked mum does he
usually make a fuss. She said yes and will exaggerate any small complaint.
Likes to go to the hospital. The rubric I took for this was Feigning Sick.
He asks many questions. Here is his desire for LIght. Light is coming
through the whole of his case.
I gave one Bell 6 on these rubrics. two weeks later the catarrh had
completely gone. The glands were beginning to soften and shrink. He had
asked to get out of his wheelchair 3 times and to stand. He also said when
I become a big boy I am going to walk and run. Words he has never used
before. I asked his mum to start to encourage his to use his frame whilst
he wanted to start to walk.
