Insect remedy? New picture emerging?

Was wondering if this would ring any bells for anyone. This is the case I asked about previously... 6 yo boy with autism and polyuria and ptyalism. Heavy toxicity. Ulcerative colitis. His colitis has been much improved this past month (on Calc-C) which is simillima but not simillimum. We've been zigzagging along.
The ptyalism and increased urination are still there off and on however. But I am thinking a new picture is emerging. Whenever he goes out in the garden, he has a very strong urge to urinate. For awhile, he would only urinate outside in the yard (so wouldn't go to the bathroom but would instead go out in the yard). But now he will use the bathroom but if he goes outside, he can't resist the urge. Also, when he goes to the park, he sits in the sand to play and will have involuntary urination (or perhaps voluntary). But in any event, it is *only* when he is sitting in the sand at the park. Otherwise, he does not have accidents. For awhile he was urinating many, many times per day - the urologist found nothing wrong. There is definitely increased saliva - sometimes foamy, sometimes viscid.
The spitting comes and goes but he will spit in the house. He will spit in on the wall, spit into the plants, spit on the floor, on the sofa, etc. The mom finally put a plant pot into the living room for him to spit into and he figured it out quickly and will only spit into the plant pot now. However, yesterday, he tried to urinate into the plant pot. There is dirt in it, but no plant. (Note: Lachesis aggravated but did not improve.)
The mom feels when he goes to the yard, he *has* to urinate. It is perhaps a compulsion. He had strong OCD symptoms last year, but those have mostly gone. Anyway, the mom says when he is out in the yard, he looks like a bug. She said his face takes on an "insect" look and he does this gesture with his hands that look like a bee or an insect - a rubbing motion. That is the best she could describe it. She said the insect look to his face is unmistakeable.
Does this sound like any insect or animal remedy? Last year he did really well on Lac Leo. Huge improvements. (He will do well on a remedy and then it will stop working abruptly.)
I was looking at Platinum Muriaticum Natronatum as he has a love of fine things - fine bedsheets, fine hotels, nice houses - and he's six! Which I thought was SRP. His mom has been doing well on Natrum Muriaticum for the past 6 months. His father has been doing quite well on Ignatia for the past few months. The mom could possibly be Platina. Very dictatorial. Plat Mur Nat has the increased urine and saliva.
The strange thing is he had the flu recently and dry dosing of Gelsemium 30c has brought amazing improvement socially and verbally. I am holding off on dosing until I can determine a good chronic going forward. Last year we spent the whole year putting out acutes from the colitis. I suspect the Gelsemium is addressing the chronic inflammation of the colitis? Even though he isn't experiencing severe acute pain. He also has had "brain cry" off and on for the past few years.
It would be great to continue with the improvements the Gelsemium has brought. Anyone ever have a chronic Gelsemium case? Any thoughts for an insect remedy?

Oh no - I'm not going to change the remedy for right now... especially with the response he has had. I just want to know if a picture jumps out at anyone. I suspect the Gelsemium results won't last... but since I dosed him dry, I have some time... unless his acute stomach pain returns.

My next step obviously will be a Gelsemium redose but I'm trying to plan ahead.

Dangerous ground trying to search for a rx through that kind of 'essence' description of an insect but I know how hard it is using sx of autism or compulsions - they seem so rich, SRP and you want to really use them but so often it comes to nothing lasting or even anything at all. And as Rochelle says, stick with the Gels for now - maybe other rx in that plant family would be worth looking at if the rx doesn't hold.

So all I will offer here is a combination of the spitting, involuntary urination, has painful intestinal sx (chronic catarrh of the colon that might resemble ulcerative colitis, certainly linked to diarrhoea).

That rx is Coccus-C

Sometimes when a remedy (e.g. Gelsemium) gives relief but feels somehow superficial and as if it may not go the distance it is interesting to explore the remedy more. Look at the flower families (in this case) and whatever else you can find and, who knows, it may not be such a short term remedy after all. This has been one of the many benefits of group analysis/families that I have found.
I actually get clues from the effective remedy to aspects of the case that I may have missed, not mention aspects of the remedy.

You did it again! I was reading Louis Klein's new miasms and nosodes book last night and he talks about Coccus Cacti and the Pertussinum nosode as being "buggy." I did not know Coccus-C had the indications you mention below. He had a really good breakthrough after the DTP remedy this spring.
I'm going to ride the Gelsemium wave as long as we can. Mom reported his stomach distension came back this a.m. so we'll see if Gelsemium covers both M/E and physicals.
I know you are right on the essence idea. This case has just been so elusive for me and we've zigzagged halfway round the world and back.
I'll have to check out the Logan family ... I'm thinking it is the affinity for muscle spasms and the relaxing of the muscles that is helping. He can be quite rigid and twisting sometimes. But that's just speculating for my own amusement.

Plus which, if you are going to look at an insect remedy, you will need to look carefully at the essence of the insect family - they feel crushed, ugly, powerless, humiliated, tortured, looked down upon. Basically : "I'm hurt, abused, want to strike back but I'm too small." The feeling of being looked down on is interesting - this could connect to the superiority of Platina (which is a kind of protective device because they feel inferior)
Cockroach (Blatta Orientalis) want to appear sophisticated, polished, cool, with a good status etc., (your child likes beautiful things?) and this apparently is shared by Mantis Religiosa (Praying mantis), which also rubs its feet together, I think As does the grasshopper! So a possibility to explore...!
if you want to know more, you'll have to look at Sankaran's and Divya Chhabra's work on insects.
But why change such a good remedy - exhaust all the potencies before you shift to another.

There is bound to be a connection between DPT, Coccus-C and respiratory problems or at least mucous problems and in the case you cited possibly that of excessive saliva and catarrh of intestinal mucous membranes. Having an autistic definition to the case can you say if there is vaccine damage (can't remember from your previous post) - would be very interesting if this vaccine is in the history of the case.

Coccus is all about 'getting rid of', i.e. spitting out the excessive mucous both from the mouth and the intestines, the whoop of the cough, they are quite loquacious so there is a need to 'get rid of' thoughts through speech and there is a lot of restless and anxious, nervous activity.
