heads-up.
I agree and it is especially relevant in veterinary work where each
species has different handling of herbs. What's beneficial for one
may kill another.
For example, carnivores lack the digestive capability to break down
toxic components of many herbs into useful ones medicinally (useful
only in those who can do the chemistry, like humans, where herbs seem
to be most studied).
For example humans break down garlic components into very beneficial
ones. In carnivores, garlic instead destroys ability of red cells to
carry oxygen.
Some good research on herbs in animals is being done at Onderstepoort
University in SA, at leastf ro comercial animals like cattle. So new
knowledge in herbs for animals is VERY slow. The knowledge of the
Tswana tribe there triggered this research about local herbs in the
mid-nineties - including one that prevents/treats Foot and Mouth
Disease for example. Local buck (antelope family such as Kudu, and
others) know which herb to eat and they are not involved in outbreaks
of this illness - but the cattle (cows come from India and are not
adapted to Africa) do not know about the herb and they acquire and
spread the disease. More knowledge of herbs would be great. They can
not be used without proper understanding.
Absolutely. I did not even know the areas covered. I wish I did know
more - i started real health care learning way too late.
Sure but I do not believe homeopathy is enough without the rest.
I use homeopathy as the core healing system, but definitely will use
whatever else I know about or can find out about that can be in the
client's interests. Before internet days I could not add "and find
out about" but that has been added to my principles of operation
I'm fussy what I use of course and DO have training in how to select
well - but it would be remiss IMO to omit the "what I can find out
about" resource for useful information on a case by case basis.
I don't. I consider nutrition as the building bricks for the house -
it's physical realm (chemistry). Homeopathy is the instructions on
how to use them to make a house with integrity and function - it's
mental realm (energy).
Not all chemistry is allopathic, and nutrition works to enhance not
suppress - but it is chemical not energetic.
Oh?
In what way, can you give an example?
I think you took me the wrong way:-)
TFH is energy medicine involving acupuncture points and energy
meridians and it cures.
It is *not* allopathic - was my point. There is no contrary or
suppression....
You say it is allopathic - but I do not get your reasoning.
Yes there is
Please do!

Irene
