Has some reputation as a remedy for epileptic conditions and convulsive
diseases of childhood and girls at puberty. Locally and internally is
injurious to eyes. Petit mal. Epilepsy without aura; after fright and other
violent emotions and after masturbation; [2] after a blow on head [[11]
epilepsy commencing three years later]; with menstrual disturbances. Several
convulsions close together. Somnambulism. Gets up at night and works,
remembers nothing in the morning [Kali-p.]. [2] The patient is irritable and
excitable before the attack of epilepsy. Attacks are accompanied or followed
by profuse offensive sweat of garlicky odour; and seminal emissions. Right
side convulsed, left paralysed; [6] convulsions of left side, right side
paralysed. Chorea, with inability to swallow. Walks in the street, suddenly
stops, stares into space, often mumbles a few words, becomes normal and
remembers nothing. Inclination to steal. [6] Eclampsia of sucklings and
teething infants. Catalepsy, remains in one position, eyes fixed and stares
straight ahead. Chorea better night. [11] Spasms lasting ten minutes or
longer, ending in perfect relaxation resembling paralysis, followed by a
sound sleep of half an hour or more. Hysterical fits. Frequent nocturnal
epileptic attacks after suffering great grief. EPILEPTIC SPASMS AFTER
COOLING OFF WHILE OVERHEATED FROM DANCING. Epileptic attack consequent upon
a drunken tumble into water.
