Animal Miasms

Post by KTribe »

Hi,

I am afraid that I sparked a rather heated debate on
another list I belong to. I mentioned that the
homeopath that I sometimes consult with on difficult
cases believes my one kitty family is suffering from a
miasm. The one male has reoccuring problems with his
left ear, as does his sister and all her offspring
(3). ALL have the same problem and all have it with
the left ear. We have acheived some relief with
homeopathic treatment (I won't bore you with the
case-taking particulars), but the homeopath believes
we need to treat the miasm to truly cure my little
feline family members. As a biologist, my first
instinct is to say this family problem is genetic in
nature.

ANYWAY, my innocent comment triggered a rather heated,
almost nasty debate! One position is that animals can
not have miasms as they are not "guilty" of human
sins. Another viewpoint is that perhaps domesticated
animals suffer from miasms because of their long
association with humans. I maintain that humans are
animals too (people hate hearing that by the way),
that we all contain the same Life Force (Chi,
God-light, whatever you want to call it)so why
wouldn't animals have miasms? Some believe rabies, for
example, is a miasm. I am interested in hearing your
thoughts regarding animals and miasms.
Thank you,
Dee

mccarthy. i agree with you that animals can have miasms and strongly agree
with you that humans are animals too. you would probably love this book if
you have not already read it. best, sheila

Hi, Dee.

Humans are indeed animals -- mammals with huge similarities to other
mammals, at the very least. When I was first studying homeopathy, I was
indoctrinated with Kent's apparent equation of miasms, especially psora,
with original sin. That seemed to me to be carrying things a bit far. On
the other hand, it seems to me that if we accept the Biblical story on some
level, that "Eden" was a state of innocence in which the knowledge of evil
was hidden, we have also to accept that the whole of creation was cast out
from that pristine state along with humans -- so why, consequently, would we
not find miasms throughout creation, since we are all one... (traces of
sulphur?? sounds like it, doesn't it? ;-))

In any case, animals respond to remedies that homeopaths ascribe to all the
miasms, when these remedies are indicated by the symptoms.

Clearly in my human patients, as in my own family, there is a grand
intertwining of the physical and emotional planes of our "genetic" -
congenital - hereditary - culturally induced tendencies. So for the sake
of finding a remedy that works, one might think of looking at miasmatic
patterns (which I would define as "patterns of disease manifestation") in
families of different species, it seems to me.

It IS an interesting subject to explore.

Dear Dee
Miasm means infection. There is no need to sin to be infected with an infectious disease. If you think that animals can be disease with infectious organism it means they can have miasm. If you think animals are resistant to any infectious disease then you beleive they cant have miasm.

MIASM-What an Innocent comment! Miasms are not common only to HUMANS, all
LIVING ORGANISMS have miasms.Miasms do not develop due to Sins only. Miasms
are inbuilt when life is conceived. What is miasm ? Tendency to DISEASE.
Sin makes miasm to manifest untimely, Thats all.If no miasm ,not only
Humans all living organisms will be IMMORTALS.

With Good Wishes
