Post by Phosphor »

how would you go about discerning which case[s] require homeopathic
treatment and which require fish oil or some other nutritional adjustment?

Just a comment on the [minutus] bipolar

In my opinion adequate nutrition is an absolute requirement for good health, and recovery from ill health. An indicated homoeopathic medicine will not be effective if the vital force is too weak. If there are nutritional deficiencies, supplements such as omega 3 fatty acids in fish oil should be used to restore the balance.

However, if you wanted to use fish oil in a high doses to help block the inflammatory response, this would alter the symptom picture and would have to be taken into account when analysing the remedy picture.

yes, but how in any given case can you make an assessment as to whether a
symptom is due to nutritional deficiency or energetic disturbance of the VF?
Dave Hartley might have some insight on this.

Dear Andrew, it just goes to show how important it is to know all one can
about pathology, organ function and the vital role of nutrition. If you have
knowledge about what the body does when it has a deficiency of e.g. vitamin
B6 you can move forward.

but how would you ascertain if any given symptom is a consequence of
nutritional deficiency, or energetic disturbance? clearly both could exist
at the same time.

An important part of the case taking - you must ascertain the person's
lifestyle regards eating habits, or whether they have a named disease which
alters their nutritional intake or functional abilities regarding food, or
if there is any other reason why they might be showing signs of nutritional
deficiencies. Then you should be able to come to some conclusions. Best
wishes, Joy
