A soldier in Fort Dix, New Jersey was the only death and the only ?confirmed? case of swine flu in 1976. Because of this one case, and the supposed few hundred others who had flu like symptoms, a massive Swine flu vaccine campaign was initiated by President Gerald Ford, perhaps to make him look good, like he was protecting the nation, at a cost of approximately $135,000,000 of 1976 dollars. (About 500,000,000 in today?s dollars)
According to the Great Bird Flu Hoax by Joseph Mercola and Pam Killeen ?Dr. J. Anthony Morris (formerly of HEW and director of the Virus Bureau at the FDA) was fired after he criticized the swine flu vaccine. He pointed out that there could be no authentic swine flu vaccine because there had never been any human cases of swine flu on which they could test it.?

How does the Center?s for Disease Control get around the lack of credible evidence about the existence of Swine flu? Simple, they have no scientific studies posted on their website to back up their claims.
