Guaiacum - Throat and respiratory system

Hello Farbod,
These symptoms are listed below Guaiacum by Dr Prakash Vakil, the prominent Indian homoeopath. The book is "A Textbook of Homoeopathic Therapeutics, Vol. 3 : Diseases of Ear, Nose, Throat and Respiratory System", page 118.

* The Remedy is useful for rheumatic diathesis. Rheumatic sore throat with weak heart muscles.
* Associated symptoms are free foul secretions, uncleaned odour from whole body.
* Fluent Coryza.
* Also useful in inflammatory catarrhal acute pharyngitis abd acute tonsillitis - simple or rheumatic.
* Right sided tonsillitis. Recurrent tonsillitis. Follicular tonsillitis. Quinsy.
* Sharp stiches fly towards ears on swallowing.
* Syphilitic sore throat.
* Stitching burning pain in throat. Dry swollen throat.
* Burning in throat is a keynote.
* It is useful in Ludwig's angina.
* Affected parts are very sensitive to touch.
* Nausea from sensation of phlegm in throat. Every morning vomits a mass of watery phlegm with great exertion and exhaustion.
* Violent spasmodic inflammation of windpipe and larynx - feels suffocated.
* Dry tight cough with hot face and burning fever, expectoration.
* Expectoration of offensive odour, foetid pus. Foetid breath after coughing.
* Yawning and stretching, reliaves general ill feeling.
* Cold locally, apples.

Dr Vakil mentions the following three symptoms as the main keynotes:
* Burning in throat
* Tubercular diathesis
* P/H of syphilis
