offensive gas plus closes windows

This px has not been straightforward to treat - addicted to doctors, compulsive self-medicator (alternative and conventional), and usually doesn't report improvements, only when there are deteriorations. Then I find out there have been months of improvements but I hear little about it at the time...On the other hand he's very appreciative of treatment.

Lately I discovered he sleeps with windows and shutters tightly shut.

Cannot bear to take showers, to feel water cascading on him. Only takes baths.

Generally impatient, irritable, sense of superiority.

Any ideas with this limited info? Has received Lyc (limited effect), Conium (pretty good), Nux-V (good also) and other remedies. I think maybe something close to Lyc will help him, but not sure what.

this is interesting but lacking in detail

What makes that unusual? Is the weather hot ? In the person's own
words- why do they do so?
Photophobia?
Fear of robbers? or that someone might peek at them ? ? ?

I would ask: Can you please describe the feeling of the shower
What exactly does it fell like
Does it feel like a heavy rain is falling
Does it feel stinging or painful in some way
etc, etc, etc.
