Spreading the word

Post by Dale Moss »

It seems to me that the swine flu epidemic, whether it morphs into a true pandemic or not, offers us the opportunity to spread the word about homeopathy.
A few years ago, when the hype about avian flu was at its height, I gave a lecture on homeopathy's history of effectiveness in treating epidemics. Most of the data in that were culled from Sandra Perko's book The Homeopathic Treatment of Influenza and Julian Winston. I'm planning on adapting that for op-ed pieces for the local papers.
No one knows about homeopathy's record in this arena. None of the spate of books on the Spanish Flu that came out in the past decade has one mention of homeopathy (or the possible role of aspirin in worsening than pandemic). IMHO, it's time for those of us who love homeopathy to do our part in correcting the popular ignorance.
This is one time when the general media are more likely to be receptive to stories on homeopathy than at other times. So, come on you writers out there, put aside the e-mails for awhile and write for publication! (Just remember that, in the U.S. at least, newspapers prefer no more than 700 words.)
Peace,
Dale
