Beginning with one small but important point: You said, "I don't see
why one should be respectful of them when they continue to ..." What
follow that is actually not important for what I want to say at the
moment.

I'm curious. Under what circumstances do you consider "being
respectful" to be appropriate--only to people you agree with, or is it
more nuanced than that?

But you are the one who refers to being respectful, I am just saying that it is hard to justify when some of the truly non Hahnemannian homeopathy is prevailing - I see that as being disrespectful as do some others and thus there is a reasonable reason to comment on it, freely, just as others feel free to be non Hahnemannian - it cuts both ways.

Being respectful is hard to justify when something you don't agree with

If I understand you below, you say that because in your opinion they
are being disrespectful to Hahnemann--which of course they and many
heartily disagree with, but in your opinion this is so--therefore it's
hard to justify your trying to be respectful to them--is that what
you're saying?

Yes, pretty much, been there too many times before, here anyway. If you want freedom of speech it cuts both ways and if you want the Hahnemannians to be quiet and respectful in the face of adversity, I think it is a bit much to ask. Some of us do try to put smileys and a bit of humour into it though, why not let it be. Joy

Ah, you are putting words in my mouth! To be "quiet"? Your choice;
discussion is what the list is here for. I am only at the moment
trying to address the second part, the "... and respectful."

But, for the moment I'm tired of it, so instead I'm heading off for the
