financial aid suggestions

Post by Meg Cole »

Dear list members,
This is Meg Cole, and I have been on the list for a few months. I have been informally studying homeopathy for several years, now, am currently taking Ardavan's 30 remedies course, and am loving the work! I would like to study, full-time, this next year, and have identified a course of study with The School of Homeopathy in Devon, England, which I would like to pursue. I was wondering if anyone on the list might have some ideas for me for financing----grants, scholarships, etc.? I would greatly appreciate any and all information and assistance.
Take care, and be well.
Meg :)

Thanks for the info, Soroush! I am an American, though, living in Massachusetts. I would be exploring the school's North American Correspondence Course, participating in extra lectures, seminars, and clinicals in New York. Should I be contacting homeopathic organisations here in the states?
Appreciatively,
Meg

Apart from a University degree course, no college of homeopathy in the UK is
automatically allowable for grants from the Local Authority. The Career
development loan might be one route you want to consider, but this has time
limitations on it, normally around two years. So many who plan on using this
form use it for the last 2 years college!

Mostly, from, what I can gather, people in the UK (unless attending a
University) pay for it all out of their own pockets. I would try your local
library to source their stock of books on loans, grants, scholarships, etc.
There are some very odd charitable trusts that fund according to locality,
but the Library should have this book as well.

Try the Society of Homeopaths, they might have a bead on funding sources.

If need any more info e mail me at twhite7101@aol.com Good luck
