A TOOTH ABSCESS and potencies to treat it

Hi,
I am treating a relative who has a chronic tooth abscess.
I wonder which potency should I use to eradicate it for good.
He uses SILICA 6c - 2-3 times a day, and it seems to increase the pus which accumulates
on the abscess's head... is 6c too low?
It oozes pus chronically.
Should he use another potency? and which one?

Hi Rafy,

I'm so far (knock on wood!) getting very promising results on a chronic
tooth abscess by following Irene's example, of simply treating the full
presenting symptoms. In my case there isn't any pain for guidance, but
there are ample symptoms in the rest of the (chronic and current) case.
So I've been following those, re-dosing (and sometimes changing
remedy) as needed--which has been much more often than I'd expect for a
chronic case (repeating a 200c approx weekly, or 6c I think daily?),
but much less often than the several times daily I'd expect for a
"first aid" approach. (The nice thing is that several other issues are
fading away at the same time. Hope it continues so! Per Irene's
experience I'm assuming it will take a few months...)

If treating on a fuller picture isn't an option, then personally I'd
experiment--see whether a single dose of 30c seems to act more or less
strongly, but if silica doesn't seem to be cutting it, there are other
possibilities... Is there pain or any sensitivities?

Oops, I'd missed your remark that it oozes pus chronically. When you
say it accumulates on the abscess's head, might that be because it's
oozing less and beginning to seal?

What about Calc Sulph ,when pus has found a vent
or TEETH; DISCHARGE from carious tooth (1) : sulph. Jean

Sil. may or may not be simillimum.

Are you "curing" ... or assuming that Sil. facilitates pus discharge
& that this is "good" ?
In other words -- is your use homeopathic ? (if not, perhaps rethink !)

As far as potency, the answer is always the same
match potency to sensitivity of client; pace & progression of
dis-ease ; pace of Rx

Acute tooth related stuff - as any other acute; may be viewed as
happenstance OR as an acute expression of chronic disease.

Potency in person of "average" sensitivitity "500" on the scale of
1(ultimate hyposensitive) to 1000(ultimate hypersensitive)
-in many supposed happenstance acutes might be 200c, 1M, 30c ... LM5 - LM10

Also one would wonder if there is an underlying osteomyelitis ?? hecla Lava or other bone remedies need to search relevant rubrics, Jean
