another ping

Dear All,

Every so often I get a "ping" or "eureka" of enlightenment.

Today's was on "nausea at the smell of food".

While I was asking the px whether he thought he could rather eat (what first came to mind) raw carrots, as that wouldn't have a significant smell..... the "ping" pinged!

Besides the obvious remedies, it occured to me that the nausea is actually the body rejecting the un-natural form of cooked food and in fact a craving -a message- for food in its natural form - raw.

So I prepared my quickie "usual" salad (salads not often popular in African diet) Kenyan style- of chopped cabbage, carrots, tomatoes and for a sweet surprise a handful of raisins, dressed with molasses, vinegar and oil.

On presentation to the px, the person, who hadn't appetite for many weeks, not only got appetite to eat but wanted it and enjoyed it!
