I am looking for remedies to help with claustrophobic and toxic aspects of mri scan. So far Stramonium and Cadmium sulph seem a good bet and what I would have gone with, but have been reading Scholten on Cadmium met (and some stuff posted by Rochelle). Would this be a better idea or...any other suggestions?

Theresa,
Since you put this in context of an event rather than an ongoing case, I would suggest considering the Bach Flower Remedy Mimulus for the specific and known fear (claustrophibia), Rescue Remedy for the general psychological trauma of medical proceedures, and making sure the bowel (in fact the entire digesive system) is in good clean working order to naturally handle the bodies normal processing of any toxic exposure. My perspective would be to consider waiting and only give an appropriate homeopathic remedy based on the actual symptoms the individual experiences or later develops.

I'm just a lay homeopath, but you might consider reading about argentum nitricum. Just a hunch and probably a useless one, but because of a couple of things you mentioned, consider getting some info-you should know right away if it's not for you .had no experience with stramomium, but better if you are seriously considering, hope you can consult with psychiatrist who is also a master homeopath.BE careful, best regards.

The claustrophobia will have little to do with the MRI if it exists away from that situation, i.e. someone who has a general tendency towards this.
What are the toxic sx? When I recently had one I told people I felt like a large fridge magnet
) then things starting going wrong, electrical components in the car, phones, other things at home - so we need to know the sx specifically, you can only prescribe on sx.

Nice to see you, Joy!!
I'm intrigued by your experience with things "going wrong" electrically
after an MRI--curious! What there a remedy that ended that, or did it
wear off on its own?

I didn't treat that specifically, no, - I was interested in what else would happen
and it would appear that the problem has gone away.
This kind of sensitivity, i.e. one who develops sx from magnetism kind of leans towards the tubercular - maybe the 'magnetized' rubrics would be useful but I would much prefer to know the specific sx also whether dye was injected as this can also cause some sx to develop.
MRI's are incredibly noisy and it is possible that this contributes to any sx that arise. I would ask about that.

Hi
Fascinating tale! I am actually trying to get ahead of the game. The person has claustrophobia and sensitivity to noise already and I want to be prepared- I just wondered if others had experience of medicating around those scans. You have!
I have in the past given radiation type remedies routinely for radiation treatment and exposure beyond the normal although I know others don't. The comparison of cad mets and sulph interested me as claustrophobia comes into those pictures, too, according to Scholten and would compound the problem, presumably.
I have several times had patients who disturb watches and machines - an interesting subject in itself. Not what they wanted treatment for, though.
