dear all
our health, organic and natural foods and supplements are under direct attack and time is running out
quickly.
i am forwarding this post in toto. this is the way the Codex Alimentarius is being implemented in this country.
absolutely no discussion of this 'trade' bill in either the mass media or in congress--but they signed onto it
when they barely approved the cafta treaty in 2006.
the tactic is the same old one: steal our civil liberties and health freedom line by legislative line. put people
into office and congressional and cabinet level posts who will sneak this draconian process that attacks our
health, the environment, our food supply into being. the Codex demands that all signers onto this effort to
control the world's food supply and our health change national laws to comply. otherwise the wto kicks into
play with massive fines. the same process is being used against small organic farmers in this legislation.
please read this post and the links to the bill itself for your own learning curve. make phone calls, e-mails,
faxes to congressional people. i understand that our new senator gillibrand is on the senate agriculture committee .
a read of her voting history is that she supports big agribusiness which raises the question of whether she
has any understanding of the Codex or organic farming--or whether she supports all farming, or just agribusiness.
she needs to be called since she still has no congressional e-mail set up.
